*1 If your affiliation has changed, submit a first fill out Stop procedure for radiation worker (online) and submit the form by post. Next, fill out the Radiation Worker Application Form for External Users (online) as a new user and submit the form by post. Also update the user registration.
*2 Radiation Worker Application Form is required for each fiscal year. Once registered with either SPring-8 or SACLA, the form is not required for return visits within the same fiscal year.
*3 JASRI will cover the user fees for the non-proprietary research submitted by users from foreign organizations within the limit of the budget. Please note that the variable fee is not always covered when it exceeds the limit of the budget. However project leaders are required to report the number/amount of shifts by submitting the “Beamtime Report” online.

Important Notes

  • Do Not Work Alone!
    To avoid any accident, do not work alone. This is important at all times but particularly so if you wish to work during the hours of darkness; please be advised that you will not be permitted to work alone during the night.
  • Reduction/Cancellation of Beamtime by JASRI
    Please be advised that your scheduled beamtime may be reduced or cancelled in emergencies such as equipment failure, natural disaster, influenza pandemic, etc. Please also note that in the event of a natural disaster or an influenza pandemic, users may not be admitted to SACLA. When such an event occurs, watch for announcements posted on the User Information website.
  • Use of Network for SPring-8/SACLA

    At SPring-8/SACLA, wireless Internet access is available under the advanced network system established for public use of SPring-8/SACLA.
