Procedures before Arrival Deadline Submit
Mandatory Registration procedure for radiation worker (Form5-1)*1
Experiments cannot be conducted until after registered as a radiation worker. Apply in Person.		 10 days before the first visit

E-learning system for radiation safety training course
To take the radiation safety training course via the e-learning system, the above registration must be completed.
RIKEN Harima Safety Center will send an e-mail message.

Before submitting, all your team members need to have registered as a radiation worker.		 10 days before

*1 If your affiliation has changed, first proceed with the Stop procedure for radiation worker (online). Next, proceed with the Radiation procedure for Radiation Worker (online) for new affiliation as a new user. Also update the user registration.
*2 Radiation procedure for Radiation Worker is required for each fiscal year. Once registered with either SPring-8 or SACLA, the procedure is not required for return visits within the same fiscal year (When you marked March 31 as the end of approval period on the registration).

Important Notes

  • Do Not Work Alone!
    To avoid any accident, do not work alone. This is important at all times but particularly so if you wish to work during the hours of darkness; please be advised that you will not be permitted to work alone during the night.
  • Reduction/Cancellation of Beamtime by JASRI
    Please be advised that your scheduled beamtime may be reduced or cancelled in emergencies such as equipment failure, natural disaster, influenza pandemic, etc. Please also note that in the event of a natural disaster or an influenza pandemic, users may not be admitted to SACLA. When such an event occurs, watch for announcements posted on the User Information website.
