The relaunch of the User Information Website My Page (functions available after login) is scheduled for September 3, 2012.
The upgrade of My Page involves a complete revamp of the system, greatly improving data processing speed and stability even during peak access times. In addition, the upgrade provides some much-requested functionality: proposal application available for export in Acrobat PDF format, online forms made available for editing/viewing by project team members, fresh new look for Publications Search Page, etc.
IMPORTANT: Due to upgrade work, the User Information Website will be unavailable from Friday, August 31, 6:00 p.m. to Monday, September 3, 9:00 a.m.
New functions and improvements are as follows:
Proposals/use plans created by a project leader are made available for access by users who have been registered as his/her team members: registered team members can check the details of beamtime application from the list of submitted proposals/use plans.
By clicking icon displayed in the list of submitted proposal (Application/Reporting > Proposal/Use Plan Submission > Submitted), you can download the submitted proposal application form in Acrobat PDF format. Similarly, project team members can download the proposals submitted by their project team leader.
Please note that proposals in PDF format do not look as they appear on online application forms.
Move the cursor over to a box in the “Details of samples and reagents” or “Equipment that you will bring to SPring-8/SACLA” section of the “Known Safety Hazards & Measures to Be Taken” page, and the box will stretch enabling you to easily input information.
You can also provide information about more than three items in the “Molecules & Samples” page.
On the Change Project Team Members page, check boxes have been added to authorize project team members to edit online forms.
Project team members whose check boxes are checked can edit/submit the following online forms on behalf of their project team leader. Project team members without a check mark can only view the forms.
The following online forms, which were unable to save while working on, can be saved. You can now stop editing, save, and pick up where you left off anytime before the deadline.
Important: Please do not leave the forms you have saved unsubmitted: Make sure to “Submit” by the deadline.
The interface of publications entry page has been improved, so that you only need to fill out one page. When a reprint has already been registered, you may omit the following:
Furthermore, by clicking the button, the special characters palette is displayed enabling you to easily input scientific symbols.
The Publications Search page has a fresh new look: Search items have been grouped into several categories by attribute, allowing you to expand only the necessary category.
Publications search results can be exported to MS Word or Tex format. Please utilize this function to create a list of publications.
The relaunch is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. (Japan Time), Monday, September 3, 2012.
Note: This schedule is subject to change without notice.
The upgrade involves full system updates, and the program may exhibit unexpected behavior despite our regular checks. If you find any errors or problems, please contact the Users Office.
