Network Settings for Windows 8.1

Step 1

Open Network and Internet from Control Panel. Click Network and Sharing Center.

Step 2

Click Change adapter settings.

Step 3

Select Wi-Fi and click Change settings of this connection.

Step 4

Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.

Step 5

Check Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically and click OK.

Step 6

Open Network and Sharing Center from Control Panel. Click Set up a new connection or network.

Step 7

Select Manually connect to a wireless network, and click Next.

Step 8

Enter/select as follows, and click Next.

Network name: SP8-GUEST

Security type: WPA2ーPersonal

Encryption type: AES

Security Key: Type the pre-shared key*.
*The pre-shared key is available at the Users Office/Guest House Reception desk.

Upon successful authentication, SP8-GUEST will be registered.

After successful registration, you will be connected to SP8-GUEST automatically.

Step 9

Open your web browser and go to any website beginning with http:, and you will be prompted to the login page of the Network Authentication System. Enter your Username (7-digit User Card ID number incl. “0”) and Password, and click Submit.

Step 10

After successful authentication, you will be redirected to your original destination.

You should now be able to use a web browser, email or any other application that requires a network connection.

If you are redirected back to the login screen and prompted for your username and password, it is likely that the username and/or password is incorrect. Please check both and try again.
