Temporary Server Shutdown and Website Unavailable (July 30 evening – July 31 JST)

In an effort to serve you better, the SPring-8/SACLA will be undergoing a scheduled power outage for maintenance during the following period:

From 4:30 pm, July 30 to 10:00 pm, July 31, 2021 JST (UTC+9).

The User Information Website will be unavailable to users during this period.
There is a possibility that it will be behind schedule, depending on the work situation.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

Proposal Application

“Proposal Application” and “User Information Mypage Login” will be also unavailable during the maintenance.
Please save the application being created before the maintenance.

Users Office of North Building

The SPring-8/SACLA Users Office of North Building will be closed on July 31 due to scheduled power outage .


[The entrance card reader system]
The entrance card reader system will be shut down (exclude some doors that for examination) during the following period:
from 5:00 am July 31 to 6:00 pm, August 1.

[Radiation Controlled Area]
Almost doors to the radiation controlled area will be closed during the following period:
from 5:00 am July 31 to 6:00 pm, August 1.

[OA Network]
OA network will not be available due to the scheduled power outage.
Downtime: 6:00 pm, July 30 – 7:00 pm, July 31
( – 7:00 pm, August 1, if the power outage will be rescheduled on August 1)

If instrument failure occur after the power outage, the network down might continue until August 2.

[Guest House]
Please note the following points if you stay in the guest house on July 31 and August 1.
Electricity will be cut from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm, on Saturday July 31.
Water will be cut from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, on Sunday August 1.

*Although the power outage will be scheduled on Saturday, July 31,
in case of unfavorable weather such as a typhoon, it will be conducted
on Sunday, August 1 instead.

1.Air conditioner, refrigerator, hot water, bathroom and so on are not available.
2.Elevators are not available of all buildings.
3.The guest house can not accept payment by credit card.

[Cafeteria and Convenience Store]
Following period is not available.
Cafeteria: July 31 to August 1(all day) August 2(breakfast time)
Convenience Store: July 31 (all day)
ATM: 1:00 pm July 30 to 12:00 pm August 2
